Friday just around the corner. The once dominant Canadian company, Blackberry plans to spice things up this holiday with their new trade-up program for iPhone users.
"Just in time for the holidays, BlackBerry will be offering limited time incentives, including: BlackBerry trade-up program for current iPhone users looking to “work wide” on a BlackBerry Passport; Discounts on unlocked BlackBerry Passport and BlackBerry Z30 smartphone devices; and PayPal financing, providing customers with a flexible option to purchase unlocked devices. New Trade-Up Program for Apple iPhone Users"
The promotion starts on December 1, 2014 and runs to February 13, 2015 exclusively in North America only. Which allows iPhone users to upgrade to a Blackberry Passport, trading in your iPhone will get you up to $400 USD/CAD for it and an addition $150USD ($200CAD) from BlackBerry. iPhone models that qualify for the trade up are iPhone 4S, iPhone 5,5C, 5S, and the iPhone 6. So much extra cash just for your old and/or new iPhone and get users convert to a blackberry. But is it really worth it? I’ll probably say yeah if you still got your old iPhone 4s or an extra iPhone lying around lol. Considering that the iPhone 4s is nearing its Lifecycle end.
Trading it in for BlackBerry passport which was released in September 14, 2014 is a pretty good deal. Costing $699.99 used for factory unlocked blackberry passport on Amazon, but with preparation for the Black Friday sale it’s currently priced at $500. The trade in value of an iPhone 4s is $100cnd with blackberry top-up $200cnd totaling to a whopping $300 CAD offer slashing the price of the passport almost in half. Not bad eh? But if you’re thinking about going in with iPhone 5s or 6 I’d suggest taking some time to consider holding off. Nothing like a comparison chart for the top contenders:

Seriously some interesting specs going on here, but is the black berry pumping enough to get you to ditch your iPhone for a Blackberry Passport? Me personally who still enjoys using the iPhone 4s is considering it but it’s kind of on the “meh” side of things since I moved from black berry iPhone a long time ago and haven’t looked back. I think it’s time to do some consideration eh?
